Hunt Power Nogales Interconnection Project

The Nogales Interconnection Project is a proposed HVDC Voltage Sourced Converter (VSC) back-to-back project that will connect the asynchronous electrical grids between the Arizona and Mexico.

Teshmont has been retained as Owner’s Engineer by Hunt Power to assist with reviewing design studies, equipment design and specifications, through to providing testing and commissioning services.

Teshmont’s initial services have included reviewing and amending the selected EPC Contractors’ design study reports and technical specification, to ensure that Hunt Power’s requirements are met.

Following the official notice to proceed, Teshmont’s role will include participating / performing engineering design reviews; reviewing test plans and witnessing equipment design tests, including interface transformers, valves, and control system; and reviewing the EPC Contractor’s Commissioning Plan and Acceptance Criteria and providing commissioning assistance.
