Case Study: Bonnybrook Interconnection Studies - Teshmont: Leaders in Power Delivery Engineering

Case Study

Bonnybrook Interconnection Studies

Challenge:

Bonnybrook Energy Centre is a natural gas-fired generating station, with a total proposed output of 165 MW, that will be located east of downtown Calgary. With the ability to power half of downtown Calgary, Bonnybrook will emit less than half of the carbon-dioxide emitted by conventional coal-fired facilities.

Solution:

Teshmont performed an interconnection study for ENMAX regarding the proposed 165 MW Bonnybrook generating station. Teshmont performed power flow, transient, and short circuit studies to assess system performance and reliability prior to the addition of the ENMAX Bonnybrook station, and will continue to provide these services after the system goes online.
