Merritt Area 138 kV Transmission Project
Teshmont was retained as a sub-consultant to Amec Foster Wheeler for the BC Hydro Merritt Area 138 kV Transmission Project. Teshmont's responsibilities were to prepare preliminary routes, plan and profile drawings for three line alternatives, and to develop considerations for upgrading the Merritt 69 kV Substation to 138 kV.

Waneta Substation Replacement
Teshmont was selected to carry out a feasibility study and prepare cost estimates for several options for upgrading or replacing the 63/230 kV Waneta substation. After careful consideration, Teshmont’s recommendation was to replace the existing substation with a new 63 kV GIS substation to be located adjacent to the existing powerhouse.

Wuskwatim Transmission Stations Complex Project
Teshmont provided engineering services for the Manitoba Hydro Wuskwatim Transmission Stations Complex, which consists of two new transmission stations including a gas insulated switching (GIS) station and a static var generator; and modifications to four existing stations for the purpose of transmission of power from the new Generating Station.

Dorsey Bus Enhancement Project
A Manitoba Hydro converter station required a 230 kV bus protection system. The project called for the design and implementation of new bus protection systems and breaker controls, as well as control desk modifications and new bus tie breakers.
